OPAL (Orange Park Acres Living) is a celebration of the unique Orange Park Acres community in Orange County, California.  An equestrian community on the edge of the canyon, this subsection of Orange, California has a unique lifestyle and rural community focus.

For those of you who live in the area, you know that we feel a bit as though we are out in the country; even though we’re actually in the suburbs. Orange Park Acres fiercely protects its rural feel and lifestyle.  For those of you who are thinking about moving to Orange Park Acres, you will find it is a wonderfully unusual slice of California. Take a look under Local to see write-ups on the various Orange Park Acres communities, local parks, and local Orange Park Acres schools.

If you love horses, this is definitely the place for you, with houses zoned for stables and over 28 miles of horse trails within the community that connect into other trail systems at Irvine Park, Peters Canyon, and Santiago Hills Park, as well as Cleveland National Forest.  If you love to hike and walk instead, then those same parks will become your favorite places to explore, like that have for me.

We’ll be exploring the best places in and around Orange Park Acres, as a guide to newcomers and possibly long time residents as well.  I hope you enjoy the journey with us.
